So… I´m very happy in my life.

I feel connected in my neighborhood. I am able to spend my time how I like. It took a lot of hard work to get here.

I didn´t think the response would be completely for me–but the negativity really surprised me.

It´s like You´ve Got Hate Mail.

I figure that there´s other people out there in a similiar situation.

That´s why I created this blog.

It´s not about what you can do (although there´s links on the links page). It´s about going deeper–looking at the WHY´s.

“If you have a why, the how doesn´t matter.”

Start building a WHY in your mind beyond the superficiality of simply paying your bills and supporting yourself financially. This is important. Take a look at personal responsibility, also. This is not about you–look at how you influence those around you.

This is my whywhy I stopped drinking nearly 10 years ago and instead bought a cheap mountain bike.  Why after work, I would go straight for a ride around the neighborhood and Sunset Cliffs (near where I lived in San Diego).

It´s when I started to feel free.

It´s when the rush of the air in my hair as I pedaled my cheap mountain bike through the town made me feel like anything was possible.

In time, I would ride the bike less and work more–more on my mind through bi-weekly meditation sessions and weekends getting back into college for a Master´s of Business Administration.

I would drop the Master´s program with a nearly 4.0 after a hospital stay from overworking.

Later, I would be diagnosed with Chron´s disease and advised to have a permanent ostomy performed.

These days, I spend my time writing this blog. I watched Tarzan on the TV tonight and the palm trees and tropics have me dreaming again.

I want to feel free.

It should be noted that I am typing this on the cheapest laptop that they had at the pawn shop near my daughter´s house in Tijuana. It´s a Spanish keyboard (control+g for save) so the keys are located in different spots then my old keyboard. There´s also this key: ñ. My Spanish isn´t good enough to use it, except if I was to type manaña. Also, if you find yourself using a Spanish keyboard:

Control+k for italics

Alt then 6 and for the at sign that you need for emails.

Everything can change, today, by starting on THAT.

You're going to get 24 hours today

How will you use it?
